We receive the details you choose to send us, save configurations to support build references and sharing, and measure website activity. Forms, storage, maps, and social players involve outside providers. You can contact us about your information at any time.
Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Vintage Dream Machines ("VDM," "we," "us," or "our") handles information through our website, the linked VDM Power Wagon configurator, and related online inquiries and applications. Our shop is located in Lewisburg, Tennessee.
It covers the information we receive and the features we operate. Social networks, embedded media, maps, email providers, and other outside services also process information under their own privacy policies. A separate notice or agreement may apply to a particular service or transaction.
Information we collect
- Inquiries and correspondence. Your name, email address, phone number, inquiry type, project details, and anything else you choose to send through a form, email, or other communication.
- Photos and documents. Project photos and application documents you upload, along with filenames, file types, and information contained in those files. Images and documents can contain embedded metadata.
- Job applications. Contact details, the position you select, your message or cover letter, résumé, and work or education information you provide.
- Power Wagon configurations. Selected cab, paint, engine, badge, and wheel options; a saved-build reference; and the time the configuration is saved. A configuration can be saved when you view its build summary so it can receive a reference and be shared.
- Website and device information. Pages viewed, referring pages, browser and device characteristics, approximate location derived by service providers, timestamps, and technical or security logs. Hosting and delivery providers may process IP addresses as part of serving and protecting the website.
- Configurator activity. A randomly generated browser-tab identifier, selected interaction events, the time of those events, and a saved-build reference where relevant. Events include opening the builder or summary, download actions, sharing, and opening an email draft.
Please send only information relevant to your request. Our general inquiry and application forms are not intended for payment-card details, Social Security numbers, medical information, or other sensitive records.
How we use information
We use information to respond to requests, discuss projects, arrange consultations, review applications, provide saved and shareable configurations, and maintain related correspondence. We also use technical information and activity reports to understand which features are useful, troubleshoot problems, protect the website from misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Our configurator activity records do not include the names, email addresses, or messages entered in an inquiry. Activity counts describe interactions; opening an email draft does not tell us whether an email was sent or delivered.
Saved builds and file links
Saved-build links are designed to be shared. Anyone with a working link can view the configuration it identifies. Build references identify a digital configuration; they are not vehicle identification numbers, purchase orders, or reservations.
Submitting to the VDM Garage is optional and separate from saving a configuration. We store your chosen public display name, preview, saved-build reference, submission time, and permission record for review. Approved submissions appear publicly with a link to the configuration. Pending and hidden submission previews are not included in the public gallery. Contact us with your build reference to request removal; removing a gallery entry does not invalidate a separately shared build link.
Uploaded photos and résumés are delivered to our team using file links. Anyone who obtains a working file link may be able to open it, so keep those links private. An expiring download link does not necessarily mean the underlying file has been deleted.
Some configurator contact actions open a draft in your own email application. You must send that email to deliver the inquiry. Your email provider processes the draft and message under its own terms and privacy policy.
Social posts, video, and maps
We display selected VDM social posts and use third-party services for video and maps, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Maps. Social previews can load automatically as they enter view, before you press play. When an embedded service loads, your browser connects to that provider. The provider may receive your IP address, browser information, the page you are visiting, and playback or interaction information, and may use its own cookies.
If you are signed in to that platform, it may associate your interaction with your account. Its player can include platform branding, recommendations, links, or advertising that VDM does not control. Choosing to load or play a social post can therefore involve additional data collection by that platform.
Review the relevant provider’s controls and notices: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, and Google (including YouTube and Maps). Form-delivery information is available in Web3Forms’ Privacy Policy.
Retention and security
Retention depends on the type of record, the purpose for which it is used, ongoing correspondence or projects, and applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations. Inquiries, applications, uploaded files, saved configurations, and provider logs can have different retention periods. Retention is based on these purposes and requirements rather than a single fixed period for every record.
The website uses safeguards such as encrypted connections and access controls for relevant systems. No website, email service, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Contact us if you believe a file link or information you sent to us has been exposed.
VDM is based in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different privacy laws.
Your choices and requests
You can choose whether to submit optional information, upload files, use sharing tools, or interact with embedded social media players. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with you, contact us using the details below. Include enough information to locate the relevant inquiry, application, file, or saved-build reference, and avoid sending sensitive identity documents with your initial request.
Depending on where you live and whether a particular law applies, you may have additional rights to obtain a copy of information, restrict or object to certain uses, opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, or appeal a decision on a privacy request. We will handle requests and any applicable appeal within the requirements of applicable law. We may need to verify your identity and any representative’s authority before acting.
Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, or other permitted reasons. If we cannot act on a request, we will explain the reason where required. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. You can also contact the privacy regulator or attorney general responsible for your location.
Children’s information
Our website is intended for a general audience interested in our vehicles and services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the website, contact us so we can review and address it.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as the website, our practices, or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. We will provide any additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law.
